    Responsibilities

    The Business Development Manager, Retail will be is responsible for developing and maintaining mortgage loan referrals for various loan products from external sources in assigned geographic area.  Develops new business and growth opportunities and identifies potential referral sources.  Calls on potential or existing clients as assigned to develop new business or retain existing business. Acts as liaison between clients and assigned Sales Center(s) to facilitate loan closings. Perform all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all US state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates. 

     

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Develops new business and growth opportunities; identifies potential loan referral sources (clients).
    • Identifies and meets with new and existing external referral sources including realtors, builders, CPAs, etc. to secure referral business for the assigned Sales Center(s).
    • Advises clients of Company programs, pricing and referral procedures; keeps clients up to date regarding of any changes to Company’s policies or procedures.
    • Assists clients in loan referral process.
    • Trains clients on use of available online systems for loan referrals.
    • Acts as liaison with client and Loan Officer / Processor to ensure timely loan closings.
    • Manages referral pipeline to achieve individual goals and objectives.
    • Some travel may be required with overnight stays.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND/OR LICENSES: 

    • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
    • Three (3) years of experience in mortgage lending preferred with proven sales record.  

     

    ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND COMPETENCIES: 

    • Demonstrated sales skills
    • Thorough knowledge of all aspects of loan production.
    • Knowledge of state and federal lending regulations
    • Excellent verbal, written and presentation communications skills
    • Excellent organizational skills with ability to adapt quickly and effectively to change
    • Knowledge of loan program development, mortgage program marketing materials, and origination systems required
    • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
    • Strong customer service skills.
    • Ability to handle complex yet detailed assignments.
    • Ability to organize and prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
