    Responsibilities

    The Accounting Manager will supervise and direct the day-to-day operations of the general ledger accounting functions in a multi-company environment. Assist the Assistant Controller in maintaining the Company’s accounting principles, practices, and procedures. Responsible for financial reporting; including month-end close and account analysis. 

     

    What you’ll do:

    • Maintain the general ledger accounting system to ensure the preparation of timely and accurate financial statements.
    • Analyze financial information resulting in accruals, reclassifications, and journal entries. 
    • Review loan accounting entries and supervise day to day activity from the servicing platform. 
    • Oversee the review of reconciliations, general journal entries, and coding of accounting transactions; verify or prepare all journal entries; provide reports as requested by management.
    • Direct monthly closing and report of financial results; including quarter, year-end and special reporting within specified deadlines.
    • Interface with other department managers as necessary; assist in the development and implementation of business process improvements; resolve daily questions, concerns, and issues from accounts payable, vendors, management and other departments.

    Qualifications

    What you’ll need:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance required.
    • Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in accounting required.
    • Two (2) or more years’ managerial experience.
    • Loan Accounting experience preferred. 
    • Mortgage industry experience required.
