    Responsibilities

    The Lock Desk Specialist will be responsible for managing the daily workflow of the Lock Desk including pricing loans, providing price confirmations to retail branches, wholesale brokers, correspondents, and adjusting pricing based on various criteria.  Lock loans with investors based on the Company’s guidelines and ensure profit margins per Company policy.  Perform all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all US state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Coordinate prices and locks requests from retail branches, wholesale brokers and correspondents.
    • Review loans for pricing and eligibility issues.
    • Review daily rates for accuracy and confirmation.
    • Provide accurate price confirmations to brokers and correspondents.
    • Lock loans with investors and verify Company margins.
    • Ensure accurate input of lock data.
    • Reconcile daily lock with current pipeline.
    • Perform loan extensions/re-pricing as required.
    • Perform research and problem solving in areas of pricing and pipeline management.
    • Assist departmental support staff when necessary.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND/OR LICENSES: 

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
    • Two (2) years of experience in secondary marketing related to locking loans for retail and wholesale operations. 

     

    ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND COMPETENCIES: 

    • Thorough knowledge of secondary marketing related to mortgage banking.
    • Familiarity with Calyx Point, DataTrac, DU, LP and other AUS.
    • Excellent computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
    • Strong customer service skills.
    • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
    • Ability to handle detailed assignments.
    • Ability to organize and prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
