    We are currently hiring an Default Invoice Coordinator, Team Lead for our office in Westfield, IN.  Consider Carrington Today!


    Responsible for the oversight of the day to day production of the Default Invoice Management Department.  The Team Lead will provide training to indirect subordinates and respond to all inquiries made by the employees that fall within the scope of the job functions of the Team Lead.  Work in conjunction with management team in providing the best resolutions under general directions with substantial latitude to improve and streamline the Default Invoice Management Processes.  Perform all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all US state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates.




    • Assist in the day to day production and management of the Default Invoice Management Department.
    • Assist in the daily planning of managing team volume to meet and/or exceed daily goals.
    • Retrieve and distribute department daily reports when applicable, in the absence of management staff.
    • Resolve any escalated discrepancies with vendors regarding invoices submitted.
    • Complete data validation between vendor invoicing platforms and company platform to ensure accuracy of invoices and complete mass approval process within “LoanSphere”.
    • Assist in vendor data updates in LoanSphere to ensure continued functionality within the platform.
    • Create and/or updating department training documentation.
    • Provide training to both new and existing employees within the department.
    • Assist in the completion of external audits when applicable.
    • Assist in extensive research when applicable to resolve escalated invoicing issues when applicable.
    • Keep up to date on all FHA, VA, USDA, PMI, and Fannie Mae servicing requirements and revisions.
    • Report trends that may result in process gaps and/or financial loss to Supervisor upon identification.
    • Take on department projects from start to completion that falls within the scope of the Default Invoice Management Department.
    • Able to learn and execute more than one process within the department.
    • Communicate with both internal and external business partners to resolve escalated matter when applicable.
    • Assume responsibility for completion of assigned duties. If unable to meet a deadline, the deadline must be renegotiated prior to the initial deadline date.
    • Make recommendations for enhancing processes and procedures to prevent future occurrences; escalate to management any failure to comply with investor/insurer/or CMS guidelines and requirements that resulted in a loss.
    • Must be able to use critical thinking skills to identify and resolve red flags, point out concerns, and elevate issues to the appropriate person for further resolution.
    • Adhere to company and department policies and procedures.
    • Exercise authority required to accomplish assigned duties and responsibilities and accepts full accountability for results achieved.
    • Plan and schedule work so that it can be performed efficiently and effectively, reduces costs where possible by improving methods and processes and eliminating non-essential and manual processes and activities.
    • Learn new skills and expands job knowledge to better perform assigned duties.
    • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.




    • Understanding of the loan servicing default related documents preferred
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite of Applications (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
    • Ability to complete research within applicable systems to identify appropriate documentation to support invoicing.
    • Ability to work in a fast paced/high production environment.
    • Ability to work independently and organize workflow
    • Ability to understand, remember and communicate routine, factual information.
    • Ability to make decisions that have moderate impact on the immediate work unit.
    • Ability to organize and prioritize own work schedule on short-term basis (longer than one month).
    • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide and to record, balance, and check results for accuracy; ability to process and input numerical data with speed and accuracy.
    • Ability to communicate with individuals utilizing a telephone; requires ability to hear and speak effectively on the telephone.
    • Ability to multi-task and meet all deadlines
    • Ability to remain flexible and take on new tasks as needed




    • High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate/Bachelor Degree preferred in accounting or other related fields.
    • Five (5) plus years of billing/invoicing experience
    • Extensive Default Mortgage Servicing experience (Foreclosure/Property Preservation/etc.)
    • Extensive experience using “NewInvoice/LoanSphere” processing invoices for approval.
