    Responsibilities

    The Loan Processor Retail Streamline Submission will be responsible for providing quality loan submission, reviewing files for adherence to underwriting standards and ensuring completeness of submission to Underwriting. This job generally focuses on streamline loans. Perform all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all US state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    • Obtains necessary information (i.e., loan applications, credit documents, appraisals, etc.) to process and submit mortgage loan files to Underwriting.
    • Ensures the quality and compliance of loans processed with Company policies, procedures, and investor guidelines.
    • Performs preliminary review and evaluation of credit information on mortgage loan documents to determine acceptability for loan programs.
    • Receives and review loans submissions.
    • Organizes and inputs loan information received into the company’s Loan Origination System (LOS).
    • Maintains open files, acquires documentation related to Borrower and property.
    • Pulls or verifies credit reports and flood certificates as needed
    • Monitors incoming documents verifying data collected by Loan Officers.
    • Informs loan officer, agent, and borrower about discrepancies in title, appraisals, credit, employment, income and other file related items.
    • Submits completed file to Underwriting Department for approval; follows established checklist for submission to Underwriting.
    • Assists departmental support staff when necessary.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Ability to maintain highly confidential information in accordance with Company’s privacy policy concerning borrower’s information (concerning borrower’s confidential information).
    • Requires high level of organizational skills and ability to work on several tasks simultaneously.
    • Strong skill in the routine use of office machines such as computer, copiers, fax machines.
    • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
    • Ability to handle detailed assignments.
    • Ability to organize and prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
    • Strong customer service skills.

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

    • Requires a High School diploma or equivalent work experiences.
    • 0 to 1 year Loan Processing work experience. 
    • Experience working in a paperless environment preferred.
