    The Collateral Trade Specialist will be responsible for receiving, shipping and inventory of Collateral Files and Trailing documents with accuracy to support loan file transactions.

    Responsible for collateral exception reports from custodians to clear document and data exceptions which include: Obtain missing, incorrect or unrecorded mortgage, note, Bailee letter, modification, corporate assignments and intervening assignments.

    The Trade Collateral Specialist  coordinates with business units and custodian vendors related to file tracking, reporting and compliance. Perform all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all US state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates.



    • Act as point of contact and escalation for document transaction resolution
    • Contribute to pull through of monthly volume based on projections
    • Prepare collateral related documentation, month end report reparation, and exception processing.
    • Resolve and correct missing, incorrect, unexpected, unrecorded, illegible, damaged, or otherwise unusable documents required in a mortgage collateral file.
    • Track and monitor file location and movement using database systems
    • Capture incoming and outgoing trailing documents in a timely manner
    • Handle basic administrative activities and specific functions; (indexing, imaging, scanning.)
    • Ensure service standards, policies, procedures and are adhered to and client needs are met
    • Perform routine administrative operations, and/or services support tasks
    • Perform other duties as assigned.


    • Knowledge of the intricacies of document exception clearing
    • Attention to detail
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite of Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
    • Ability to communicate information clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
    • Excellent time management and multitasking skills
    • Effective communication, and interpersonal skills
    • Required to utilize the following programs: Fiserv, Tempo, Encompass, On-Base document Images, County Websites and others
    • Strong organizational skills, promptness and analytical decision making skills
    • Demonstrate ability to adapt to changing demands of high growth business needs



    • High School Diploma or GED required
    • Two (2) years of collateral experience
