    The Loan Processor Assistant will be responsible for providing quality loan processing assistance, reviewing files for adherence to underwriting standards and ensuring completeness of submission. Works with Closing Processors to coordinate the management of the loan applications from submission to closing.  Perform all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all US state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates.




    • Responsible for supporting Closing Processors and providing excellent customer service.
    • Validate that title was ordered and determine if it is pending or received.
    • Order the following for each loan as applicable to file: appraisal with the vendor listed on the itemization form, flood certificate, FHA/VA case number, refi Authorization, Caivrs, VOE’s (Borrower and Co-Borrower), payoffs (internal and external), current homeowners insurance declaration page, Verification of Mortgage/Verification of Rent and/or credit supplement if necessary, and tax transcripts
    • Validate the following for each loan: AUS ran and approved, 1003 accuracy, 2 year work history, 2 year employment history, correct product type, REO section of 1003 complete, details of transactions, cash out or rate/term.
    • Move loans to “Processing” milestone once ordering and validating is complete.
    • Assist the Closing Processor by following up on all order-outs, title orders, written verifications of employment (current and previous), homeowner declaration pages, condo questionnaires, and subordination requests.
    • Assist Closing Processor in obtaining documentation to clear fraud alerts and assist in final fee sheet follow-up.
    • Track and upload appraisals and track IRS transcripts.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.


    • Maintains highly confidential information in accordance with Company’s privacy policy concerning  borrower’s information (concerning borrower’s confidential information)
    • Requires high level of organizational skills and ability to work on several tasks simultaneously
    • Constant contact with internal office staff
    • Strong skills in the routine use of office machines such as computer, copiers, fax machines
    • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
    • Ability to handle detailed assignments
    • Ability to organize and prioritize workload and meet deadlines
    • Excellent computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
    • Strong internal customer service skills




    • High School degree or equivalent work experience required.
    • 1 – 2 years of clerical or office experience required.
    • Six months or more experience in the mortgage industry preferred.
