    We are currently looking for a Default MI Claims Analyst to join our team!


    Responsible for review and reconciliation of Mortgage Insurance (MI) claims for accuracy, posting of mortgage insurance MI funds, and liquidation requests. Preform daily, weekly, or monthly review of post-sale processes to ensure compliance with investor, state, and agency guidelines. Perform all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all US state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates.

    • Review FHA, VA, PMI, and investor claims for accuracy and provide results to management for review.
    • Responsible for monitoring claims pipeline.
    • Prepare and file supplemental claims.
    • Perform a loan level analysis and reconciliation for all final claim proceeds between the amount claimed, the amount paid, and the outstanding loan indebtedness including all escrow and corporate advances.
    • Prepare a loss analysis within 20 days of the receipt of the final claim proceeds that outlines the avoidable and unavoidable loss and the cause of all avoidable losses.
    • Provide posting instructions for all claim proceeds within 24 hours of the receipt of the claim proceeds.
    • Ensure all loans are liquidated timely (zero principal balance) within 24 hours of receipt of the final claim proceeds.
    • Upon completion of the final loss analysis, responsible for closing out of the Fiserv foreclosure workstation, and verifying all balances including corporate advance balances are zero.
    • Perform daily review, follow-up and ensure the timely and accurate completion of all regular scheduled steps including outstanding/late steps in the foreclosure tracking templates pertaining to claims/post foreclosure sale activities.
    • Maintain updates in Fiserv and input the completion date on the date the action occurs.
    • Obtain approval, and modify the scheduled date to a date in the future, whenever a step in the process cannot be completed.
    • Perform routine follow-up on aged daily processes and outstanding tasks.
    • Keep manager informed of all trends and issues including, but not limited, claim denials/curtailments, FHA re-conveyance, FHA offsets, delays in getting properties in conveyance condition, title issues resulting in title denial.
    • Verify taxes and insurance maintained and paid timely and cancelled/endorsed according to investor/insurer guidelines.
    • Complete monthly, investor/client, PMI, VA, and FHA (SFDMS) reporting.
    • Monitor vendor performance and notify manager of any consistent problems (vendors inability/failure to comply with investor/insurer procedures and/or CMS requirements)
    • Ensure all claim documents are imaged timely.
    • Maintain and control the HUD audit file.


    • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
    • Some college preferred
    • Two (2) or more years’ mortgage servicing default experience
    • Previous FHA, VA, PMI claims experience preferred
    • Previous FHA, VA, PMI claims servicing experience preferred
    • Previous accounting experience preferred
    • Able to work M-TH 7-5 and Friday 7:30-11:30 plus overtime as needed
